Veteran Care

Veterans Overview:
The VA provides health care for Veterans from providers in your local community who assist the VA. Veterans may be eligible to receive care from a community provider when the VA cannot provide the care needed. The care is provided on behalf of, and is paid for, by the VA. The Community Care Program is available to Veterans based on medical conditions and eligibility requirements, and in consideration of a veterans specific needs and circumstances as determined by the VA and the provider.
Homemaker Overview:
A Homemaker, or a Home Health Aide, is a trained caregiver who assists the Veteran with activities of daily living in the Veteran's home. Homemakers/Home Health Aides are not nurses, but they are supervised by a registered nurse who will help assess the Veteran's daily living needs at the time of admission and as changes occur. This program is for Veterans who need personal care services and help with their unique activities of daily living. This program is specifically designed for Veterans who live alone or whose caregiver needs assistance

Our Personal Care Services team is deeply committed to serving the men and women who have served our country. Supporting veterans is not just part of our mission—it is a responsibility we take seriously. Our administrator, Bradley Madison, is personally involved in advocating for veterans’ access to care and travels often to the Texas Capitol to lobby for policies that protect and expand services for them. This dedication reflects our belief that those who served our nation deserve compassionate, reliable care and strong advocates working on their behalf.
